Issue 14: Kailey - Founder of Capable of Bravery

Experiencing hardships throughout her life, including Mental Health, Kailey realized that she wanted to support the notion that no matter what challenges and hardships come your way, WE ARE ALL CAPABLE OF BRAVERY. For this beautiful pageant queen, she aims to ensure that no one ever feels they are battling hardships alone. That they are perfectly beautiful in their own way, and that they are Capable of Bravery.

Often in a world where we are constantly compared to one another, constantly told we aren’t good enough – the thoughts of being alone with no way to escape our hardships is unfortunately a common theme many of us experience. Through her experiences, Kailey Founded Capable of Bravery, where she aims to make a positive impact to those experiencing these types of perceptions.

Kailey has lived through moments in which she felt the negative perceptions had inhibited her from moving forward. From suppressing her trauma to failed romantic relationships in which she blamed herself for. Kailey found that by holding in her emotions and withholding reaching out for help, it clouded her judgement and ability to move forward.

It has been 5-years since Kailey’s “rock bottom”, where she experienced the loss of trust in those she cared about the most. Through the loss of friends and pushing family away, she thought that this was the end for her. After taking some time to seek the supports she needed as well as discover who she really was, Kailey realized that everyone has a superpower; the ability to truly self-reflect. Sometimes we may feel guilty for putting our needs above others, however, how can we help others when we don’t even believe in ourselves. Being open and honest with ourselves is the most important part of being able to not only trust in ourselves, but also to trust others.

Through the power of her stories, Kailey aims to help others discover their own superpower, through Capable of Bravery. She also aims to continuously fundraise for multiple organizations within her community, while being an advocate for topics that need to be heard.

Kailey wants you to remember to stand tall, be you, be brave because you are capable of success and happiness. You are your own Superhero!
